Casa Alterna, a close local partner of AILA Georgia-Alabama welcomes immigrants into short and long-term housing and accompanies immigrants to the gates of ICE, sharing information and connecting those most at risk of detention with legal support. Join this virtual lunch and learn to explore Casa Alterna’s mission and work, to help connect immigrants with much-needed legal representation, and to discuss issues of mutual interest, such as conditions in “temporary” holding facilities here in Georgia.
