CHAPTER COMMUNICATION INFORMATION

All Georgia-Alabama Chapter members are included in a distribution list maintained through AILA National based on the email address provided through your AILA registration. Only Executive Committee members can communicate through this listserv and it is used for official membership communication, such as elections.
The second method of communication among chapter members is an informal Slack Workspace open to all members of the Georgia-Alabama Chapter. Contact the Chapter Secretary to be added to this group.

The AILA Georgia-Alabama Slack Workspace is designed to provide an informal open forum to AILA Georgia-Alabama Chapter members for the exchange of information, experiences, and ideas.
It functions with the understanding that AILA Georgia-Alabama is not engaged in endorsing or rendering any legal advice that may be posted on the listserv by AILA Georgia-Alabama Chapter members. If legal advice or other expert assistance is required, a formal relationship with a competent professional should be sought.
When posting a message, please keep these guidelines in mind:

  • Do not use the AILA Georgia-Alabama Slack Workspace for the posting of any material that is defamatory, offensive, blasphemous, or obscene.
  • Please remember to maintain your duty of confidentiality to your client.
  • Conduct the basic research first and thus showing you know something about the question you are asking.
  • Do not to rely wholly on the advice given on Slack. Responding attorneys have no duty to provide correct advice.
  • The AILA Georgia-Alabama Slack Workspace is provided exclusively for AILA Georgia-Alabama members to share opinions, questions, comments and concerns with other members. AILA Georgia-Alabama Chapter is not responsible for any comments or messages posted
